GE Software: The Industrial Internet

There has been much talk about the Internet of Everything making the world a more convenient place for people who want their whole world to be linked. However, this technology can make much bigger and better things possible when used in the Industrial world. GE Software is harnessing the power of this "Industrial Internet" in a variety of fields, including power generation, through a software platform called Predix. GE Software came to First Person for a series of videos that could educate consumers about the power of the Industrial Internet and then with that knowledge get a glimpse of GE's role in utilizing that power. We had to tell a story that captured the scale of this connectivity all the while illustrating how vital GE was in bringing people and machines together to accomplish great things.

Expanding on the first three videos we aimed to tell a story in the real world. We visited a massive combined cycle gas turbine plant in Paris, California for 2 days to shoot their software at work. We had a great film crew that included Steadicam and drone teams to show off the awesome power of the GE 7HA turbine and the digital technology that makes it so efficient and powerful. The crew that ran the plant was not only generous with their time but gave us a great story to tell on this video and our other GE Power projects to come.

We partnered with countless marketers, engineers, and several C-Suite Executives to create dozens of presentations for GE’s Minds + Machines and other conferences. The presentations were fully interactive and animated along with the speaker and ran anywhere from 5 minutes to 90 minutes. CEOs, CDOs, and high-level engineers stood in front of our work on stages from San Francisco to Dubai.
